Getting Started With Biomechanics

 

  • Load Monday’s biomechanics example file

  • Add circulatory model – Linear increase in volume for LV only

  • Add Active Tension ActTens_Rice_Canine model

  • Load Lagrangian compressible rice constitutive model

  • Change Boundary conditions:

    • Remove base_epi for Deformed Coordinate 1

    • Make it a circulatory model for the external pressure for nodes 1,3,5,7,9 and Inner Surface to LV Endocardium

  • Render nodes; find a node at the base’s Cartesian coordinates
  • List Volume

    • Insert nodes1,3,5,7,9 LV Endocardium

    • Origin at node (-2,0,0)

  • Repeat 5 times:

    • Solve with time step 4, 4 steps, 1e-3 error

    • Render deformed lines

  • View > Animate…
